United Internet Team Germany racing against three other teams

After having a week off from training, the United Internet Team Germany faces a couple of exciting training days from today. From Tuesday through Thursday, the GER-72 crew will race against three other America’s Cup teams in a double round robin. Sailing six match-races on these three days, each team will be competing twice against each of the others. The United Internet Team Germany’s adversaries will be the South-African Team Shosholoza, the Italian Mascalzone Latino Capitalia Team and the Team Desafio Espanõl 2007 from Spain.

“It will be almost like a mini-Act,“ says coach Lutz Patrunky, who is much looking forward to the races, which he sees as another opportunity to test the shape of the United Internet Team Germany. After the rather lonely winter training sessions during which the German team sailed all on its own Valencia, the crew can do very well with some regatta practice, Patrunky points out.
