Copa del Rey - Day 3 - Preview : Coastal race

The third day of the 25th Copa del Rey has dawned with quite disappointing auspices as we are expecting another day of southern light winds, around 5 to 10 knots. The hot weather unfortunately hasn't strenghtened the seabreeze as it is coupled with equally high sea temperatures, reaching 25 to 30 degrees centigrade at some points of the Palma Bay.

It is certainly going to be a difficult call for tacticians today, given the importance of the race. The 100-mile coastal race, shown below, counts twice in the scoring table and if Vasco Vascotto aboard Mutua Madrileña doesn't "goof" (as he stated yesterday) the boat driven by Peter de Ridder could consolidate their leadership in this regatta.
