Brand new GP42 boat launched in Croatia

The up and coming GP42 class is getting populated. As we reported last month, the first ever GP42 built made her maiden racing appearances first in Valencia and then in Palma for the Copa del Rey.

The GP42 fleet has now its second member, launched in Croatia on Saturday. The boat was designed by Botin & Carkeek and built by Murtic Yacht Builder in Croatia. The master builder was Nicolas Lindsay Beadle from New Zealand while the project manager was Croatian Massimo Kovacic.

After being put on water, the boat will be fitted out this week and the official launch will take place on Friday. If all goes as planned the first trial sail will take place during the next weekend. According to the boatyard, this boat has been built for an experienced owner and as a result we should expect to see her racing next summer in Valencia and other Spanish regattas.
