USA-98 of BMW Oracle sails for the first time

USA 98, BMW ORACLE Racing’s new race yacht for the 32nd America’s Cup, sailed for the first time today after being launched at the team’s training base in Auckland. The team is conducting sea trials this week before starting an in-house racing programme to prepare for this year’s Cup competition in Valencia.

As always, you can visit the BMW Oracle website for the official news or get an interesting behind-the-scenes view at the BMW Oracle blog, with a great number of photos (including one of a group of Emirates Team NZ members spying from a nearby balcony).
