Russian TP52 Valars get by with a few scratches

This is what I call luck. Apparently, the Russian TP52 yacht "Valard" stationed in Castellón, did not suffer more than a few scratches. In an update to our previous story, courtesy of Jaume Soler's Blog, the Russian yacht was toppled by gusts of more than 60 knots but was lucky enough to just need some minor repairs and a paint job.

Rush and Atalanti, the two boats adjacent to Valars were not affected by its fall.
The rest of the TP52 fleet was not affected by the strong winds.

Any person has heard more on what happened to the new boat of New Zealand on the Wednesday? I am not in Valencia but an old friend in the team is crying both boats sailed Wednesday when the wind raised very hard. Something was suddenly broken in the boat not the mast when the wind became strong. As soon as they could the turned the boat into the wind and lowered both sails. Slow tow back to the harbor. Mast out boat in the shed. The door of the shed was closed from Wednesday. Boat builders and some sailors working all night and day since on the repair while other teams practice racing each others every day for Act racing beginning the 3 of April. Is this 2003 again for Team NZ? Its worse nightmare? My friend on the team says sailors on Friday were openly crying in their beer at a bar called Rocks where many of the teams of the Cup gather. So many others knows too.
