TP52 Alicante Trophy - Day 5: Preview - Bribón close to first ever event win

The Alicante Trophy is coming today to an end after four exciting days full of close and intense racing and continuous changes in the scoreboard. Bribón is leading the fleet with an 8-point advantage and is the favorite to win the event, although the last few days have shown us that nothing should be taken for granted in this competitive fleet.

Two upwind-downwind races are scheduled for today and this should make it more stressing for Bribón. Still, if they manage to cross the finish line with enough advantage to hold on to their leadership they will score their first ever event victory in the 3 years of the Breitling MedCup circuit.

One position down the table, Mean Machine, has also all the chances to aim at the trophy but their task will not be easy at all, especially if only one race takes place. For Vasco Vascotto's Mutua Madrileña, first place is also at reach but again difficult to achieve.

The weather forecast calls for a southerly breeze at around 8 knots.
