Paprec-Virbac moves into the lead of the Barcelona World Race

[Source: Barcelona World Race] This morning Paprec-Virbac 2 has moved into the lead, gaining an 8-miles advantage over PRB. As can be seen on the 06:00 GMT polling, the two leading monohulls are now on converging routes (probably a temporary situation only, as the two boats are accumulating gybes), PRB making progress towards the W-NW while Paprec-Virbac 2 seems to dive to the SW.

The trio of pursuers is spread out across a North - South axis, with Estrella Damm in 3rd place (+75 nm) in the North, Temenos II 4th in the middle, and Mutua Madrilena, 5th, in the South. With Delta Dore now 6th, Veolia has lost the nice gains made yesterday and is back in 7th place, Delta Dore fighting hard to get back into the game after a tough passage yesterday.

The situation did not evolve for Hugo Boss, still 8th, but if the two top boats do increase their lead, distances seem relatively stable among the back of the fleet. Except maybe for Educacion Sin Fronteras, only monohull to still be in the Mediterranean, and which this morning is 243 miles behind Paprec-Virbac 2.
