Racing canned in Marseille International Match Race due to strong winds
No racing took place on the opening day of the Marseille International Match Race as the French city lived up to its fame of strong breeze. With gusts over 28 knots and no relief in sight, the race committee had no option but cancel all racing for the day. Hopefully, the first event of this year's World Match Racing Tour will kick off on Wednesday, weather allowing.
