Ask your questions: Francesco De Leo, CEO of Green Comm Challenge

Valencia Sailing will meet with Francesco de Leo, CEO of Green Comm Challenge, in Valencia on Tuesday. Green Comm represents the Circolo di Vela Gargano and presented a challenge for the 33rd America's Cup.

Similar to what we did with the BMW Oracle press conference, if you have any questions you would like to have answered by Mr de Leo, just leave a comment.

Question to Mr. Francesco De Leo:

When is Lorenzo Rizzardi going to pay to the +39 Challenge employees the money he still owe them for their work in the 32nd America's Cup?

How do Green Comm even consider they could be competitive in a multihull MC event early 2010?

BMWO spent 9 months building their first tri with a very large boat building team, let alone the design and testing time required.

I'd be interested to know what sort of resources Green comm have at hand to achieve what most would consider as impossible - namely to be ready with a comptitive multihull for Jan/feb 2010.

Do they really have a grasp of what they need to achieve?

Is it just a PR campaign to try to get some sponsor exposure for AC34?

How much does Alinghi pay them?

How much is Alinghi paying green com to stage this joke? which is clearly another delaying tactic by SNG!!

Similar to what has already been asked. I would like to know How much time they expect to need to get a competitive boat ready. I think we all agree that February 2010 is too soon to get a boat on the water ( short of refitting an existing one which probably won't be competitive). Is may 2010 a feasible option? How far back should the Cup get pushed to have it be a hurried but feasible schedule.

I suggest you use a polygraph machine to determine whether the truth is being told.

I watched Rizzardi and his two mates make it through the whole 32nd AC on lies and bluffs.

For Francesco De Leo and Rizzardi, i suggest the following: http://www.wikihow.com/Cheat-a-Polygraph-Test-(Lie-Detector)

How much sleep ( and money ) would he lose if BMWOracle said 'ok, bring it on' ?

Alinghi has stooped to a new low in their perverse attempts to manipulate public opinion. "Poodles" does not begin to describe how completely foolish Rizzardi and De Leo have allowed themselves to look at Bertarelli's behest.

Please ask Mr De Leo how he can look himself in the mirror in the morning knowing he and Rizzardi are the latest laughing stock of the AC world.

Mr Orphanidis, it will be interesting to see how you handle this interview. Your reputation hangs in the balance.

When will they merge with CNEV?

What makes the Green +39 Challenge different from CNEV and the first +39 Challenge? Why should the AC world take this Challenge seriously?

Hi Pierre :-)

1. Pls ask them if they have a legal opinion on the 4 corners of the Deed that a CSS can be done while a default DoG (no mutual consent) challenge match is in place.

2. If so, ask them to cite historical facts of a AC CSS that has been run while a a default DoG match is in place. Answer is never.

The most important question has already been asked and is regarding the +39 campaign and the unpaid bills and wages.

However my other question would be in what way the club thinks it actually qualifies to be a challenger when their yearly regatta is on a lake and not (an arm of) the open sea

It is very interesting to see how the BOR supporters get bent out of shape immediately and start crying and yelling and screaming how everything is Allinghsi fault. From another challenger, to the hemispheres, to the weather, to the money .... its all Allingis fault, if not their ulterior dark intentions and ploy. I think some of the people on this board are going a bit far with their assumptions and innuendos.

Bertarelli may be a rich man, but Ellison is a lot more powerful and has a lot more money. So, lets stop with these ridiculous accusations and theories about Allingi arranging the whole world, it simply is too childish!

Cher Pierre -
Can you ask Mr. Rizzardi how he can get a boat into design and build when he doesn't know the venue?

Is Green Comm and/or CVG going to file a lawsuit against Tom Ehman and Russell Coutts, and if so when, and in what court?

Will Green Comm and/or CVG be asking the New York State Attorney General to intervene on behalf of the beneficiaries of the Deed of Gift so that your team/club can race GGYC in a challenger series?

What evidence can you provide to demonstrate that you can build and launch a competitive boat in a time frame that will allow for a challenger selection series to take place in, say, January 2010?

If the cashflow was to low during the 32ac.
Than how come that, during a time of worldwide economical deploy AND the lack of proven results and cash shortage (in ac32) to tell/sell to the potential sponsors, you don't seem to have that problem.

Questions to Mr. Francesco De Leo in order to understand better who GreenComm Challenge is
1)first of all what is your sailing and professional background and why you decided to challenging in Americas Cup?
2)what does GreenComm stand for and who are your backers?
3)could you explain the relation between Green Comm Challenge and +39?

At 11:30 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Well, we would like to know more about Francesco De Leo and his background and why he committed to enter the America's Cup.

At 11:33 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

You should ask him about Green Comm Challenge. What does he like to accomplish?

At 12:58 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

We don't know about his menagement team. Who are they?

At 1:00 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Why is he backed by Simtone a company based in Switzerland?

At 1:01 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

How can he put together a budget for the next Cup?

At 3:50 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

When and where did he meet with Ernesto Bertarelli or Lucien Masmejean prior to submit his challenge?

Did he or GreenComm sign any Non Disclosure Agreement with Alinghi/SNG about this \\\"Green Comm challenge\\\"?

At 3:59 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Can he fully disclose the backers list of Green Comm Challenge?

At 6:41 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

I applaud Green Comm, Mr. Rizzardi, and Mr. De Leo. The America's cup needs more competition lest it will wither for lack of innovation and lack of interest. Thinking that Green Comm is backed by Bertarelli is just another symptom of the kind of paranoia that all the legal squabbling and the negative press have created. Welcome Green Comm and others, even if their ambitions seem misplaced given the lack of time and funds.
