SNG invites GGYC to resume 33rd America’s Cup talks
[Source: Alinghi] In a letter to the Commodore of the Golden Gate Yacht Club, the Société Nautique de Genève yesterday invited representatives of the Challenger of Record to Geneva on the 11 May for a follow-up meeting as was discussed at the conclusion of the 23 April session.
SNG was disappointed with GGYC's decision to once again turn to litigation, but the defending yacht club remains willing to continue mutual consent negotiations on the race date and other issues regarding the next America's Cup and hopes that the American team is willing to attend the proposed meeting.

This is a good development, and might occur before the court hearing. I think the best outcome would be for the two parties to agree on a match in Valencia in October 2009, and for GGYC to deliver the Custom House Registry within the next six weeks. Then, everything would be clear for a match.

This pretty much makes it perfectly clear that Ellison has absolutely no intention to negotiate anything, its all for show only. Why would they send "negotiators" to Switzerland, and not discuss the date of the 33rd AC? Just doesn't make sense .....
Yes, things will become quite clearer which planet SNG is on after their spankin in the courts on May 14.
How can BO go to court saying Procedural History does't include the Fay challenge when the CHR was given to SDYC 3 months before the race.

Ernesto's tactic from the was to put ggyc into a "win ugly" situation and toy with them on public opinion. Even to the point of relying on general anti-american sentiment in the world. So even if ggyc wins the cup it will have been a "dirty win". If Alinghi wins they get the double whammy effect of defeating the sore losers who "screwed it up for everybody" and being king of the hill again. Ernesto is acting out a shrewd, sick, sinister, ego maniacal sadistic time consuming and costly plan. It's all of that, even before before you get to his intention to punish Coutts

You can't justify to a judge that the cop was wrong to give you a ticket just because everyone else breaks the speed limit. That's how you are trying to justify SNG & the poodles rational.
so now we agree that LE has been breaking the speed limit? He has done a lot more: he single-handedly is keeping the rest of the word (i.e. 18 teams) from the next AC.
9:52 PM - Doesn't look like it as as it's EB/SNG & their poodles breaking the speed limit. If you look at the court records you will see EB/SNG have been in court 5 - 2 compared to GGYC. Must be getting expense for EB/SNG as they have lost the majority of the motions.
Didn't EB/SNG created CNEV which was proven in NYSC to be in breach of the Deed & a sham yacht club? The starting point of 2 years of disgust for the AC & sailing world.
The court & no one cares how many poodles, sailors, cities & etc agreed to the SNG/CNEV sham as it was breaking the law (speed limit). Guess you don't understand the difference between right & wrong? Guess you don't do your penalty turns when you foul on the race course?
Bottom line is EB/Alinghi/SNG & the "cunning professionals who hypocritically supported him until now" have only themselves to blame. Hard to feel sorry for them any more than one would do with someone who breaks the speed limit. Their choice, their price to pay.
Sham Yacht Club - The truth is that the St. Francis Yacht Club was not willing to work with LE and therefore Larry had to buy the bankrupt ggyc. This is all a big fake show and Ehman and Co. are doing nothing than stupid propaganda.
Lets sail in a country where the Americans have a lot of good friends – lets see how they perform in Iran or Iraq!

I'd lock the pair of them in a room with a gun each (normal American justice I believe ??) and tell them to sort out their differences.
