Vascotto and de Angelis to call tactics on AIRIS and AUDI Q8 in Caglari

The Cagliari Trophy, 3rd event of the 2009 AUDI MedCup circuit, begins next Monday and two of the circuit's three Italian teams announced big-name additions to their afterguards.

In the TP52 series, Francesco de Angelis will join the owner and helmsman Riccardo Simoneschi on AUDI Q8 in the role of tactician. The only Italian yacht of the TP52 series currently lies 10th overall and has spent the last few days training off Cagliari's coast. Matteo Ivaldi will be the boat's strategist, resulting in a purely Italian grey matter aboard AUDI Q8.

In the GP42 series, third-placed AIRIS will count on Vasco Vascotto to sniff the winds and weave through the rest of the fleet. With Cameron Appleton on the helm and Vascotto calling tactics, AIRIS will certainly have all it takes to beat Roma and Islas Canarias Puerto Calero for the Cagliari Trophy.
