Nice little movie. I wish this baot would be sailed in decent wind conditions to show its full potential. Somehow it feels awkward if professional sailors "pull the plug" if the wind blows with more than 7-10 knots... Maybe, it will just take a little longer for the crew to get used to the boat but man, I can't wait to see Alinghi5 really taking of.
Did you guys notice that Alinghi got rid of their white s-curved boards? They seem to use straight boards now (which are black).
The size of the HUBLOT logo shows that the sponsorship shouldn't be too big...
Perhaps the reason for not sailing in stronger winds is that Alinghi would disintegrate in 20+ knots of wind.
I can sail my overcanvassed dinghi in winds up to 6 bft together with my girlfriend. I don't see why professional world class sailors shouldn't be able to do that with Alinghi5
