Appellate Division grants expedited appeal on UAE venue for 33rd America's Cup
[Source: Alinghi] "We are gratified that the Appellate Division granted Société Nautique de Genève's request to be heard on an expedited basis and recognised the critical need to quickly resolve the important issues related to the venue of the 33rd America's Cup and the measurements of the boats," said Lucien Masmejan, legal counsel for the America's Cup defending yacht club, Société Nautique de Genève (SNG). "We believe that SNG is legitimated to select the venue for the America's Cup and we hope to race BMW Oracle in February without any further delay."

Dear Lucien Masmejan,
Although you "hope to race BMW Oracle in February without any further delay" you actually (again) have attempted, to delay the cup with filing a motion for a stay of Justice Kornreich’s RAK order. Luckily this motion was denied by the court so that your "hopes" may come true and your team will have to sail against BMWOracle next February. No more excuses now, let's go sailing!

Why would one need 120 mio $ to stage the races?
Renaud what $120M was spent in RAK. All they did was level the ground, put in a slip & do some dedging. All things they had plan to do anywhere. The only diff was SNG putting up some tents. So the questions is what $120M are they talking about...something behind the scenes as mentioned maybe???
