Defender Alinghi open to discussions for 33rd America’s Cup in February 2010

[Source: Alinghi] Lucien Masmejan, Société Nautique de Genève legal counsel, commented following today's hearing before Justice Kornreich of the New York Supreme Court:

"Today’s hearing before Justice Kornreich was productive. Our yacht club, the Société Nautique de Genève, the America’s Cup Defender and the Golden Gate Yacht Club, the challenger, have agreed to meet in New York over the weekend to discuss the venue for the 33rd America’s Cup. We are due to report back to Justice Kornreich on Monday and are hopeful an agreement can be reached."

Was present at the court appearance and all I have to say is that BOR had a lot of explaining to do. Both sides have turned a matchracing event to a legal game of chess.

I felt that there is going to be a resolution simply because the Justice tried hard to orient them that way.

Lets hope to see a race for starters and then see a multi-challenger event.

9:57 PM - You must have been at different court room as the SNG lawyer basically hung himself by rearuging & whining. The Judge has no more time for SNG & can see right through they childish manipulations of the court & the Deed.
