7.2 The Measurer shall determine the following:
(a) Whether the boat representing SNG, has a length on load waterline
of between 44 feet and 90 feet if it has one mast, and 80 feet and
115 feet if it has more than one mast;

... and after THE BOR WING another Alinghi boat !!!! with two WINGS !!!

I must say, BOR videos are pathetic and getting worse! Very nice music, totally perfect for presenting the biggest wing ever made and sailed... RIDICULOUS!!!

It's nice that BOR are doing and sharing some videos now.
Unfortunately it looks to me as a bad copy of what Alinghi has been doing for the last years.
They wouldn't better be that much behind in boat technology as well.
And that music, please someone kill their DJ!

i don't give a damn for the videos or the music on them (although i wouldn't mind if theey were actually better). what is important in my p.o.v. is the boat and its new wing - they're both amazing.

Norby, I couldn't agree more with you.

Sorry guys but we watched BOR live yesterday on the web which was way better than any pro job vid.

Since when has Alinghi let anyone do anything live on the Internet? Since when has Alinghi open there doors to the average sailor when they are in development mode?

Alinghi like SNG is all about control whether it's their PR or the rules. They are not good for the image of the sport in the area of sportsmanship.

Dearest 9:57am

You call out the fella at 7:27 for posting "rubbish", but you don't call out those that simply replied with complaints about the quality of the video music? Or were you one of those knuckleheads? Rubbish indeed.

Indeed, I also thought it was a really cool thing to watch BMWOracle get the wingsail put up LIVE and then to go sailing with it in a tight harbor with lots of traffic. My heart almost stopped beating when I first saw that. Touched me in a very fundamental and different way than some of the over-polished sailing commercials out there. It felt like I was witnessing sailing history being written at that very moment...And when I think about it now, while I am writing these lines, it still touches me (which is truly amazing).

9:57 AM you must be ripped as you weren't one of the 10's of thousands of global viewers watching BOR 90 make AC & sailing history live on the Internet.

No polished censored filming just shear technology & raw seamanship that laid bare their latest development program in their quest for the AC.
