Monsoon Cup - Day 2 - Flight 11: Ben Ainslie in the lead with 5 points

Up to earlier this afternoon we were thinking the boats were very close to the shore and the spectators and that it was impossible to get any closer. How wrong were we!! A right shift in wind direction forced the race committee to reset the course, establishing a starting line so close to the pontoons, it looked at time during the prestart that the yachts were about dock.

After an uneventful prestart, Ben Ainslie, Team Origin's skipper, got off the starting line on the left but with faster pace and at the first crossing he was ahead of Mirsky. The British team held on to their lead and pocketed yet another point.

On the other hand, Adam Minoprio, had a disastrous prestart against Mathieu Richard. The world's number one match racer got two penalties and lost the match before it even started.
