Statement from Tom Ehman, GGYC Spokesman

[Source: BMW Oracle] We welcome the news that ISAF has appointed the International Jury for the 33rd America’s Cup. The panel is highly qualified.

We are pleased that it includes the members of the Expert Panel to which Justice Kornreich referred the five technical questions. The Panel’s recommendations were confirmed by Justice Kornreich in her recent decision.

With the Jury’s appointment we expect that the remaining rules issues, including revision of the SNG-ISAF agreement and the draft Notice of Race, will be quickly resolved consistent with the Court’s decisions and orders, and in accordance with normal – and fair – yacht racing rules and procedures.

I'm not sure if Tom Ehman reminds me more of a snake or a slug.

The Alinghi trolls can say what you like, but if I had an AC team Ehman is the first person I would try to hire. He knows the game inside and out, is tough but fair, and has done an amazing job keeping Ernesto from hijacking the Cup. Compare the upbeat, diplomatic statement above to the rambling, bumbling rubbish that comes out SNG & Alinghi, especially Fred Meyer. Signed, "Not an American or BORian"

So please stop explaining
Don't tell me cause it hurts
Don't speak
I know what you're thinking
I don't need your reasons
Don't tell me cause it hurts

How anyone can support a YC that has been found by a court of law & a panel of internation sailing experts to be cheating numerous times brings their sportmanship into question.

The court has never said Alinghi cheated, and indeed if you know anything about the events of AC33 you´d know Alinghi have always behaved above board and in good faith. The panel decided in favour of Alinghi over the rudder issue but the judge, in the end, decided she knew best.

It was not even part of the panel's job to decide on the rudder issue because the rudder issue was already decided way before the pannel was even nominated. You better check the facts before making bold statements in this post.
