Dear Commodore Firmenich

The 33rd America’s Cup

I am formally asking your yacht club to retract immediately the comments made by representatives of your America’s Cup defender Alinghi.

My yacht club, BMW ORACLE Racing and our partners are owed an unreserved apology for the falsehoods set out by Brad Butterworth about the attempts to negotiate a mutual agreement in Singapore.

Our side did not withdraw the offer to settle. The opposite was true.

The final document was signed by Tom Ehman and Richard Slater on behalf of GGYC /BMW ORACLE Racing. The other signature belongs to David Kellett of the International Sailing Federation, acting as witness.

Not withstanding the false statements made by Alinghi to the press, GGYC remains committed to resuming talks so that all the outstanding issues are cleared up before racing starts for the 33rd Match starts.

As Trustee of the America’s Cup I am sure your club understands its responsibilities in this regard ;

Yours sincerely,

GOLDEN GATE YACHT CLUB

Marcus Young
Commodore

Russell Coutts, BMW ORACLE Racing
Tom Ehman, BMW ORACLE Racing
Larry Ellison, BMW ORACLE Racing

Renault F1 lost sponsors. So has Tiger Woods. I think it is about time that BMW reviews their branding strategy and removes their name (and money) from a project that has the whole world looking on in disgust.

A very strongly worded letter asking for a correction in the last sentence of Brad Butterworth's 3 paragraph press release, but appearing not to dispute anything else announced.

It appears to me that the discussions really ended earlier that day when BOR announced that they had filed court proceedings in New York. How can anybody be stupid enough to announce that, and then expect negotiations to continue as before.

BOR should have given the negotiations a chance to conclude before instigating the court proceedings.

Who withdrew from the negotiations first is irrelevant. After that announcement, the negotiations were already effectively dead.

And so the bull stands alone in the ring awaiting the matador. The bull, bleeding from repeated wounds from the friends of the Matador stands proudly, brave and strong waiting. The matador looks from the outside the arena, afraid to enter. Scared and confused at how strong the bull looks. If he is to kill the bull he must resort to relying on his friends to wound it more before he will risk entering the ring. The Bull will wait. The Bull is strong.

And the Bull will taste great after a couple hours roasting on an open spit. Pit Beef is a delicacy in the U.S.

SNG started this mess by attempting to defend the Cup under a paper yacht club, which never hosted an annual regatta.

You invited legal action and now you don't like it..... boo hoo!

You are right Mark. Except the fact that it remains a poor excuse of which BOR abused. I'm convinced that by this time we would have had another great AC ... if LE wouldn't have been so greedy and obsessed by the Cup. He just want to hold the trophy, by any mean !

BTW : Ramon +2

Who the hel you think you are Mr. Young, except the puppet of Ehman and Coutts?
Have you ever thought apologising for ruining the America's Cup for the sole selfish benefit of Russell "greedy chicken" Coutts?

Well if not, give five minutes thoughts to this and you'll realise how pathetic you are.

Its not fair mama, he said something mean and didn't say sorry! Boo hoo....

Dear GGYC

We unreservedly apologize for being stupid enough to meet with you. We should have realized it was a waste of time before we got there. Please feel free to stick it up your.....

Kindest regards
The team which will be win the Cup the real way.

If they don't apologise they will probably sue for defamation to prolong the whole thing.

SNG & Linghi fans just don't get this. Sadly looks like there is going to a lawsuit & a ISAF filing needed to get SNG to stop with the BS.

Until SNG stops with the onshore BS there will be more NYSC, Expert Panel, IJ & maybe ISAF coming down on them. Especially when EB says if I can use my sails, I will not sail. What sort of statement is that from a sailor let alone the Defender & the Defender's Sailing Team.

Who let this EB kid into the sandbox to play as he's not old enough?
