These talks will be in the presence of the Chairman of the International Jury, David Tillett and, International Sailing Federation representative, David Kellett.

GGYC does not expect to make any further comment until after the Singapore meeting.

More of nothing from Mr Trouble. Why not try and be constructive for a change.

I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop... BOR have been WAY too quiet lately and (I think) are preparing for the next assault... What can they sue Alinghi for next, to keep this event from happening? I don't know, but I'm certain they are already preparing it. I give this race a 5% chance of happening on Feb 8th. What a bummer!

Read SNG's Draft or should I say daft NOR & SI. Pretty brutal & childish examples of how not to organize a AC.

How sad SNG just can't be fair with the rules. They deserve to be busted once again by the NYSC. Maybe SNG will listen to the IJ once they get together but that is doubtful.

Hopefully one of these days SNG will stop cheating off the water so we can see a AC match.

Tom will make a offer to drop all court proceedings in return for a delay into May, and best of 7 racers.

To 11:00am.

Can you give examples of what you believe to be brutal and childish?

And furthermore, it is Oracle who have been called unsportsmanlike, the court has never used the word cheating against Alinghi. Can you explain your opinion or are you just lonely, stirring the pot hoping someone will pay you some attention?

The behaviour of EB with the Defense of this 33rd AC has been and is childish; nobody can understand how is refusing is obligation as organizer; he is like a sulky child after being corrected by the teacher. Last example: issuing the SI last minute as a "badly edited" word document. Copy and paste and don't even check ... despicable.

Look back at the last 3 years with a cold towel on your head and you may take a more balanced view. Sure Alinghhi opened a door by chosing a COR that was thrown out by a US Court. Since then it's the guys from SF that have made the running on using the system at every turn and throwing this sport into disripute and destroying several challengers on the way. Ellison and Ehman are desperate to win and Coutts want the money full stop, end of play and screw everybody else. Just look at their timing on every challenge, perfectly executed to give them maximum advantage, all of course to see fair play for all those other challengers who begged BMWOR to back off as far back as October 2007 because they believed they had terms they could accept with Alinghi. Everyone is entitled to their point of view but it does help if you look at the facts before taking such a strong position.

8:39 PM - sadly you sound like a cunning pro that got banged by EB's arrogance in selecting a DOG. Many of us are in the same position but we also understand the AC isn't a gravy train as it's a challenge cup called the AC & not about us.

Why you fail to understand that Mutual Consent does not trump the importance of the AC's Deed, law, history, tradition & the sport of sailing is why we are here. You fail to understand the facts lay in what is above & not in what EB & a bunch of starving cunning pros think or mutually agree to.

Each time GGYC goes to court is to ask for fair rules under the AC & sailing. They win so what does that say about EB & your POV?

SNG like you have no understand that SNG as a host YC have a duty & obligation under the Trust & the rules of sailing to be a neutral party. Yes like Mercury Bay stated, SNG is to be competitive but that doesn't mean cheat which is why they are getting busted in court & with the expert sailing panel. The AC & sailing is about self regulation of the rules & SNG has not be able to do that have they?

Like EB you only care about yourself & not the Cup which is sadly what many of us don't care for. Please wake up & understand the AC as if you don't you will keep walking in the shadow of EB who is worse Defender & Trustee in the Cups history.

to the 11:58 pm anon - your twisted sentence "What can they sue Alinghi for next, to keep this event from happening?" should read "What can they sue Alinghi for next, to assure this event happens in a level playfield?"

how pathetic to see that many losers on a sailing blog.

Americans are not used to play fair, and the court stated that way by pointing out the lack of sportsmanship of the challenger.
Past errors made by alinghi and/or Sng are no reason for that many americans to now prove it to the entire sailing community that they have no sense of fair play, no short time memory, and that the limits of their arrogance lies in their financial power. There is nothing that would please more than to see Gozilla take a deep dive in the waters around Valencia....

For the record none of the descriptors you aportion to me are correct and I have never been banged by EB or anyone else.

Everything you say is very intertesting which makes me think that you are someone with a legal background or a c;lose relationship with Tom Ehman.

If you truly believe that BMWOR's intentions in all of this are in any way linked with fair play, the interests of others, the honour of sailing and the integrity of the AC then good on you. I respectfully beg to differ. They are just in it to win it.

Singapore talks fail as did the last 2x GGYC tried to talk to SNG. Sadly, SNG bombs once again in not being able to play.

As of tonight, GGYC has filed a MOL with the NYSC on the CIC issue. Next will be the IJ spanking SNG on the stupid NOR & SI's.

GGYC MOL

6:23 PM if everyone is in to win there are those that win by following the rules & those that don't.

So far, SNG the side that doesn't follow the rules has lost 13-1 in the courts over rules of the AC & sailing. If you don't understand the importance of that to the AC & the general sailing community you don't understand the Basic Principle of sailing.

As to what GGYC will do if they win, that's in the future. As to what EB will do, well we know where that got us & we are still waiting after almost 3 years.
