Meanwhile in Valencia... beautiful day but very light breeze

Greetings from sunny Valencia where it seems spring is around the corner. This might be excellent news for the tourists and spectators that are expected to come in droves for the 33rd America's Cup match but not so much for the Alinghi and BMW Oracle crews.

The two giant multihulls docked out from their respective bases at around noon and from what we could observe from the rooftop terrace of "Veles e Vents" there was hardly any breeze and not much was expected either. I won't be able to go out on the water on Tuesday, so my report will be limited to Alinghi's dockout. Still, stay tuned right here for some very spectacular shots later this week.

We will also have interesting news later tonight, after I attend the jury hearing that starts at 7pm Valencia time. As per Tom Ehman's statement it will discuss GGYC’s request for redress over measurement. If I'm allowed, I will try to blog live from there, taking advantage of the free Wifi network that the city has installed all over Port America's Cup. During the duration of the event access will be free and open to everybody, to the best of my knowledge.
