What is this?

It was indeed quite a simple quiz. She's the brand new CAM 52, a Botín-designed IRC-optimized 52 footer. Anyone familiar with the TP52 circuit might notice a resemblance with the Emirates Team New Zealand yacht. In fact, the hull mould of the kiwi boat was used for CAM 52 (and another kiwi IRC yacht, Georgia Racing) but the yacht was optimized for IRC racing in the Mediterranean. Her hull is identical to the one Dean Barker is successfully driving in the AUDI Medcup circuit but her rigging and appendages are different. She has a taller mast, a bigger and heavier bulb and more sail area. Both CAM 52 and Georgia Racing were built at Cookson's in New Zealand.

CAM doesn't have any intention to sail in the AUDI Medcup circuit and their program for 2010 is strictly Spanish, taking part in the Trofeo Reina, the Copa del Rey and another 3-4 regattas. For more photos check the Blog of Jaume Soler

Here's a fairly simple quiz. What boat is it? She is in Valencia, taking part in the Trofeo de la Reina that started this morning.
