AUDI Medcup - Cartagena Trophy - Day 2: No racing due to lack of wind
It's been a disappointing day in Cartagena as the most pessimistic weather forecasts became a reality. After holding the fleet ashore for almost two hours, the race committee tried to find, unfortunately in vain, a spot with some decent breeze in order to set a race course. The breeze never passed the 4-knot barrier and as a result they called off racing for the day.
Tomorrow Friday, the GP42's will try to hold their first races while the TP52's will drop their scheduled coastal race for more windward-leeward races. Unfortunately, that might not be an easy task as a heatwave originating from northern Africa is affecting Spain. In fact today was the hottest day of the year so far and it won't get any cooler before next week.

For first timers in Audi Medcup, sounds pretty damn good to me. Way to go Team Origin
Well it would seem I have developed a fan group of sorts. How nice. Having said that, you trolls can piss on BMWO whenever you want, but I have a little fun at Team Orafice's expense and I am somehow in the wrong? Hypocracy is all around me.

As for Team Orafice and their current "hot" streak in Cartagena, based on their self-generated hype I hope they win this event. And if they don't I hope they don't bitch out and blame their loss on the boat.

BMWO entered one, yes 1, Audi MedCup event in 2008 with a brand new boat and they won it. I believe it was in Marseille. Not bad either right?

PS: I am not from Europe so it is impossible for me to consider myself the authority on anything. As a "dump ass redneck from the good old US of A" I have a full grasp on reality and I have embraced the concept of oral hygene and bathing everyday.
