The ISAF council have voted in the Events Committees provisional events slate for the 2016 Olympic Sailing Competition, which is:
Men’s Board or kite board – evaluation
Women’s board or kite board – evaluation
Men’s one person dinghy – laser
Women’s one person dinghy – laser radial
Men’s 2nd one person dinghy – Finn
Men’s skiff – 49er
Women’s skiff – evaluation
Women’s keelboat – Elliott 6m
Mixed multihull – evaluation
Mixed two person dinghy (spinnaker) – 470
This is a provisional list of event and subject to final confirmation in the ISAF mid year meeting next May

It's time to get rid of the Finn, it is a relic of the past. Do an evaluation for a second men's single hander, there are plenty of candidates, Moth, Musto skiff etc.
Same applies to the 470 for mixed two-hander
Should also get rid of the women's keelboat event, it skews the gender balance, is high cost and lower performance. I also think it's a bit patronizing to women, it's like putting in a cycling event with training wheels for women.
pls put a carbon wing mast and some kevlar sails on Lasers, as they look so old.
I Believe the moth should be in instead of the Laser!!!
