New Build TP52 for 2007
A new Patches for Eamon Conneely is on the cards as confirmed by project managers High Aspect Ltd, the business partnership between skipper Ian Walker and James Boag. “We have optimised Patches progressively over the last year but a new boat would present an opportunity to use a lot of things learned and to make refinements. The boat represents a great opportunity for a team to buy a very competitive, real turn-key boat. It is highly competitive on the TP52 circuit and under IRC as proved in the UK in 2005. It has already generated considerable interest from possible Spanish owners.” According to Boag. “Eamon has done a great job at building a strong team under Ian’s leadership. ‘Patches’ or ‘Siemens’ as it is known this year is not the newest boat in the fleet and nor is the boat crammed with America’s Cup sailors but they are doing exceptionally well. Eamon has put together a really good mix of young blood mixed in with some very experienced sailors. The boat has slowly been optimised to the position it is in now.”
